An exclusion door is the main tool crews use to get a possum out of a roof without shutting it inside. It is a short mesh tunnel with a hinged flap at the far end. The possum pushes the flap open to leave at night, and the flap swings shut behind it. From outside, it cannot be pushed open again. It suits most homes in Deception Bay, whether the roof is tile or metal.
The crew we book first works out which gap the possum uses most. They check the roof cavity for the nest and the tracks, then look for fur, grease and worn edges around the roof line.
